PAST EVENTS

The Inspire To Do Power Soccer event in partnership with
BORP and Project Insight.

Power soccer was brought to San Francisco for the first time for our children in Power Wheelchairs to experience! Power Soccer is an indoor team sport played by people who use power wheelchairs. It provided a fun, competitive, and accessible opportunity to not only play soccer but the rare chance to be a part of a team with others just like themselves, working together toward a common goal! Our players included people with quadriplegia, muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, spinal cord injuries and other disabilities.

Beijing 2008 - Paralympic Inspirations

Thanks to your support, we are thrilled to share that our Summer 2008 Paralympic Inspirations program was a resounding success! Our 23 special needs orphans from China Care Foundation's Group Education Foster Homes in the Beijing area were the best! The Paralympic athletes were amazing, kind and generous. The camp curriculum included practicing independence in their community and processing their daily experiences in their journals. All involved, both adults and children were touched by this opportunity of a lifetime to see their world peers, people with disabilities, inspire them with their achievements and successes. Their eyes were opened to what is truly possible for them.
